Client Onboarding

So, you’ve started your new business and someone approaches you about about becoming a client or customer.

WHAT DO YOU DO NEXT?

We recommend :

1. Recording your customers contact details

….preferably use a CRM like HubSpot(which has a free option). Remember, you will need to be ICO registered if you are handling people’s data.

2.Sending your contract/ agreements and all relevant information

send all your documents over before the customer has to ask so you start the working relationship off well. This includes your contracts, insurance, payment information, ‘Whats Next’ Documents and all relevant contact information that your customer will need.

3. Use Calendar invites to send your first review/meeting with your customer.

Be proactive and set a date and time in your diary and invite the client so they know they aren’t going to have to chase for information.

If you are a product based company, ensure that you schedule a call once the product has been delivered to ensure the customer is happy or fix the issue, if they aren’t.

4. Social media

Invite your customer to join/follow or Like all of your social media and if your client is also a business, do the same for them. It shows an investment in their success. It also allows you to target customers (who have opted in under GDPR) with relevant marketing that will be of value to them.

We recommend having this creating an a workflow or standard Operating process(S.O.P) for this so it is easy for you to do and easy for others to replicate in your business. Each business is different and so there are many more steps that need to be considered.

This is the kind of work we just love here at More Momentum and would be happy to get involved in setting this up for you.
